What is VET?
Vocational Education and Training (VET) refers to education and training that focuses on delivering skills and knowledge required for specific industries. It is a learning option for young people in the senior phase of learning.
At St Mary’s Catholic College, students in the Senior Phase can participate in adult training experiences, gain credits towards their QCE, and obtain qualifications that are nationally recognised and that develop skills for employment. Students have the option to use their Certificate III or above Qualification to gain entry to many University degrees with some gaining credit towards their degree.
